Bandung Weekend Walks
I tried to keep up with this blog (means blogging regularly), but somehow I kept forgetting and lagging behind >.< As for the result, there's always too many things I've wanted to say here but oh well, I forgot the details XD
But for the last weekend, it was too good to just skip it. I had a breathtaking weekend yesterday (literally). Awesome but exhausting XD
So last Saturday (25/10), I went to Bandung with Mon and Ronnie. We've planned this trip since a month ago, so we've asked Wo to help us arranging the hotel and accomodation. He booked us rooms at Hotel Cemerlang, which is pretty nice and within reach by angkot (I think that's the most important thing, because we wanted to wander around Bandung by angkot). Usually I checked in to another hotel near Wo's house, but that hotel was too far from downtown and not so angkot-friendly XD
Oh, before I forgot, actually Mom was in Jakarta since Wednesday, but I managed to stick to my Bandung trip plan since she had another agenda to do and it didn't necessarily need me to get involve with. She (and my little bro) stayed at my aunt's house for a couple of nights, and then at mine on weekend, but since I was about to go to Bandung, she went back to my aunt's again until yesterday she went back to Semarang.
Anyway. I took off from Tomang at 8 am with X-Trans and arrived at 10, then I went straight to my favorite salon. I desperately need a hair do :P Lucky that Mon's and Ron's X-Trans from Bintaro arrived at 10.30ish, so I still have time to have a blowdry. They arrived just in time when I finished, so then Wo picked me up at the salon and we went to Cihampelas to picked them up. Wo brought us ambokweh for brunch, which were good :D (It's a chinese food - I don't know how to describe it, but it's some kind of pork meat chops with some sweet sauce. Anyways, it's yummy).
From Cihampelas, me Mon & Ron went to BIP first because Wo had to put his motorcycle at his cousin's house. He joined us an hour later and we then went to the hotel and checked us in.
Our first agenda is to find cheap DVDs at Kota Kembang. LOL. We knew there's always Glodok in Jakarta, but anyhow we ended up shopping here. Then we went to The Secret, a factory outlet in Riau street. I went there before and the place is good, especially with the interior to photographed. Mon took a couple pictures of it, while Wo did the shopping. We hung around there until around 7 pm, and then we went to my favorite place for dinner, Kwetiaw Sentosa at jalan Aceh :D Nothing beats the yummy kwetiaw there.
From Jalan Aceh, we went to Paris Van Java mall, but since the traffic was crazy at Saturday night, our angkot stopped at about 1 km before the mall. So we walked to PVJ >_> By the time we got there, my legs were about to break in pieces :P We did a little shopping at Carrefour and then we hung around at Javana Cafe until around midnite, enjoying the crowd and drinks. I got myself a cup of tea, because they didn't have other beer than Bintang and Guinness *_* I wanted my Carlsberg. Even Wo's cocktail didn't impress me much :P
We went back to the hotel at around 1 am.
On Sunday morning, everyone had an almost late breakfast XD We went downstair for breakfast at 9.30ish. After that we prepared ourselves and got ready to check out at 11. We went to X-Trans pool at Cihampelas first to drop off our bags, then we went to Lapangan Gasibu. My old friend Rico (we met him there too) told me that there was a cultural event called Pameran Kemilau Nusantara and it had a photography contest also, which dragged Mon & Ron to check it out. They didn't join the contest though, but still had the photo hunting.
We walked to Yoghurt Cisangkuy afterwards and got some cilok on the way XD It was raining when we had our lunch at Cisangkuy, but lucky it stopped when we finished. Then we walked to Jonas Banda just to get an ATM, and walked again to some distros - Mon got a tee from Oink, and then we dropped by God.Inc and met Inong (Wo's friend) there :) We walked again to Dago street and finally hitched an angkot to Braga.
In Braga street, Mon & Ron had their photo hunts and I as my being usual narcistic me, also had a couple shots there. We walked through Braga street to Gedung Merdeka at Asia Afrika to take photos until around 5 pm. Then we walked back to Braga again and took angkot from Viaduct to Cihampelas.
We went back to X-Trans pool because my travelcar (and Ron's) to Tomang was set at 6 pm. While Mon's travelcar to Bintaro was booked at 8.30 pm. So we waited for our ride there. Meanwhile I bought some batagor and it caused me diarrhea afterward :P
Ron & I took off back to Jakarta at 6.15 pm, and got slept all the way XD While Mon and Wo waited for Mon's ride at Oh LaLa Cafe at Ciwalk (that's what she told me on SMS) until 8.30. By the time I arrived in Tomang, it was 8.30ish and I called Wo, and that was when Mon just took off XD
I was soooo exhausted I slept right away after shower. Oh, and that batagor kicked so I went pooing a couple of times -_-" . Even the next morning. That is why on Monday I was so sleepy and still felt tired, and so I post this blog today :P But it was a nice weekend, though. A lot of walk, but fun. Lucky that Bandung weather is nice and cool, so we didn't get sweaty. I consider this was a work-out of the year XD
I think I will go to Bandung again next week, but just a short visit to return a book I borrowed from Wo's uncle which I forgot to bring yesterday. I suppose it wouldn't require any long walk again, hahaha.
Anyhows, Bandung trip is always fun :) I will go back there again, and again :)
